SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

As a Radiographic Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our operations. You will be responsible for setting up and calibrating radiographic equipment, conducting tests using appropriate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques, and accurately interpreting and documenting results. Your expertise with equipment such as cameras, cranks, guide tubes, and dosimetry will be essential, as will your familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and contractual documents.

You will work independently, demonstrating your ability to operate and maintain radiographic equipment while resolving problems efficiently. Your role will involve analyzing information skillfully and maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks. With minimal supervision, you'll ensure that all procedures are followed meticulously and adapt to changes and unexpected challenges in the work environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Set up and calibrate equipment.
  • Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique.
  • Interpret, evaluate and document results.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with the camera, cranks, guide tubes and proper use of collimator/survey meters, dosimetry, and limitations of the method in which certified.
  • Must be familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Operate and maintain radiographic equipment as necessary and where applicable.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Obtain and analyze information skillfully.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Education & Experience

  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an approved 40 Hr. Radiation Safety Program.
  • Completion of approved 80 Hr. RT Level I & II Training.
  • Previous RT level II Certification or the ability to certify.
  • Texas Industrial Radiographer Certification or equivalent.
